• An invitation letter from Mozambique (Stamped by the Migration Services – Departamento de Estrangeiros)
• Confirmation of Hotel Reservation (applicable for business and tourism visas)

• Proof of financial funds for the duration of stay

Visa for residence purposes will be issued to foreigners who intend to live in Mozambique and it is valid for one entry and a stay of 30 days renewable up to 60 days. This type of visa will be issued for foreigners who:

• Can prove to have means of subsistence
• Application letter to the Consulate-General
• Letter for the sponsoring organization/ persons
• Criminal record /Police clearance
• Authorization letter if applicant is a Family member or a child
• Marriage certificate (for couple family member)
• Health Certificate

Note: The holders of Residence visa upon arrival in Mozambique must apply for a residence permit at National Immigration Service for the issue of DIRE (Foreign Residence Identification Document).

Applied upon arrival at the border (One single entry valid for 30 days)
Required documents:

• Proof of existence of financial funds for the period of stay
• Confirmation of hotel reservation or accommodation guarantee.
• Contact details of companies or persons to visit.
• A payment of USD 85,00

The Consulate General of Mozambique will be closed during Mozambican holidays and Public Holidays in the Special Administrative Region of Macau.
